The Hub Awards 2014

Submit your Nomination for the 2014 Hub Awards

The Hub awards are back and entering the 11th year of bringing together and celebrating the best Cornish business talent. This year, another spectacular awards ceremony will take place on Thursday November 27th. Building of the year on year success of the awards, we are excited to announce that this year’s event will take place at an exciting new venue, the recently revamped Merchant’s Manor in Falmouth.

We’ve designed a straightforward application process to ensure it’s easier than ever to enter or nominate and shine the light on Cornwall’s most worthy business stars. There’s no age limit on any of the away categories – the Hub has moved on in its 11 years and throughout the year welcomes all ages and business levels and we want to make sure the awards continue to reflect this.

The Awards…

Entries are now open in the following categories:

Best New Start Up  – For the Best New Start Up there will be a lot to talk about in a short space of time. The business idea might be the brainchild of one person or a team. What’s most important is that the business is based in Cornwall and was launched after January 2013.

Best Use of Digital - A company not embracing digital is like a dog without a bone right? Most people are doing it but are you or have you taken it to the next level? Have you got some really tangible results from an exciting digital campaign across any medium?

Cornish Business Leader of the Year - Nominate or enter yourself and well and truly fly the flag for Cornwall’s business community. This new award is all about putting the spotlight on someone who epitomises a true Cornish business leader.

Employee of the Year - Do you know a true Cornish business star? Or are you that person? If you or someone you know has made a significant impact on the Cornish business they work for this could be the year to enter this award. It could be linked to exceptional growth, acumen or even ultimate long service. If it’s someone worthy, we want to hear about them.

Cornish Business of the Year - Does what it says on the tin. Nominate or enter your Cornish business of the year. It might be about growth, NPD or a sales success story. The criteria is quite broad – it’ll be up to you (if you get shortlisted) to convince our judges that you’re Cornwall’s business of the year.

Creative Project of the Year - Cornwall oozes creative talent. This new award will celebrate the successes of a project that can demonstrate real results or impact because of its creative backbone.

Entries for this year’s awards will close at midnight on Friday 19th September, 2014 and those shortlisted will be invited to an interview panel on either 23rd October and 24th October, 2014. If  are looking to enter, you will need to be available for the judging days to stand the best chance of winning.

If you are nominating someone else, please ask their permission before submitting the application. If shortlisted, they will need to come to judging day rather than the person that nominates them.
