A Cornish social enterprise further spreads its wings internationally

St Austell based social enterprise, The Fluent Self CIC has recently completed an in-house training programme at Google in London, and a second programme in the Caribbean.

Leadership Coaches from Google in Germany, Ireland, US and UK took part in the London-based training to become Licensed TIFF Providers.  Stephanie Conway, Leadership Coach and Organisational Development Partner at Google said "TIFF provides a unique way to help a person reflect on how effectively they are communicating and building relationships with others - as a leader within their organisation, as a manager with their direct reports or as an individual contributor with a wider network of stakeholders.”

The first group in the Caribbean recently completed their training.  Leona Bishop, Functional Fluency Caribbean Network Coordinator said “I am very proud of the first group of 8 Curaçao-based professional coaches to gain their TIFF Provider Licences and look forward to seeing them use the model with their clients.”

The Fluent Self CIC trains and supports professionals in their use of the international award-winning Functional Fluency model, and Temple Index of Functional Fluency (TIFF©) personal development tool. TIFF is used by coaches, business consultants, HR professionals, counsellors and psychotherapists.  It helps their client, as well as themselves, to become more effective in their communication, leadership and resilience; learning how to “react less and respond more”.

The Fluent Self CIC was established in Cornwall in 2009, and now oversees a worldwide Functional Fluency network that encompasses Germany, Netherlands, South Africa, India and the Caribbean.  In addition, a translation into French is well underway, and interests are being progressed in Brazil, Russia and China.

Jane Hicks, Fluent Self Director says “We are thrilled to be working with Google, equipping their in-house coaches to offer the benefits of TIFF through their work.  We are excited too, by the growing opportunities being progressed by working with people in organisations and countries who are keen to spread the benefits of Functional Fluency and TIFF.”
